Ed Felten é co-fundador e Cientista Chefe da Offchain Labs, a equipe inicial por trás do desenvolvimento da Arbitrum. Além de seu papel na Offchain Labs, Ed é professor na Universidade de Princeton, onde educa alunos em Ciência da Computação e Assuntos Públicos há quase anos. Ed atuou como Vice-Chefe de Tecnologia dos EUA na Casa Branca de junho de até janeiro de . De janeiro de a agosto de , Ed serviu como Chefe de Tecnologia da Comissão Federal de Comércio. Atualmente, ele é membro do Conselho de Supervisão de Privacidade e Liberdades Civis. Ed se formou na Caltech com um B.S. em Física e recebeu seu Ph.D. em Ciência da Computação e Engenharia pela Universidade de Washington.
