Miguel de Vega é o Cofundador e Diretor Científico da Nillion. Ele tem inovado em blockchain e tecnologias distribuídas, criptografia e aprendizado profundo desde . Ele registrou mais de patentes em sua carreira, com dessas patentes ainda sendo usadas para otimizar o fluxo de informações em cabos de fibra óptica de alto volume hoje (como o Cabo Transatlântico). Ele criou modelos matemáticos para vários tipos de redes, incluindo redes móveis, sem fio, ad-hoc, satélite e fibra óptica para grandes empresas de TI, projetou linguagens específicas de domínio para alguns dos maiores bancos do mundo, e algoritmos de aprendizado de máquina e protocolos criptográficos para várias startups. Miguel possui um PhD em Matemática pela Université Libre de Bruxelles, bem como um Mestrado em Engenharia pela Madrid Polytechnic University, onde se formou com duas especializações.
