EVMBNB是BNB Chain生態系統的原生實用代幣，作為多鏈資產，驅動去中心化應用程式並促進其網路上的價值交換。它是支付交易gas與智能合約部署費用的主要資產，同時為用戶在Binance交易所提供分層手續費折扣。該項目的主要價值主張在於其統一的多鏈架構，將智能合約平台、Layer 2擴容方案與去中心化資料儲存網路整合成一個統一的結算與資料可用層。 網路採用權益授權證明（Proof of Staked Authority）共識機制，由21個活躍驗證者組成的內閣（Cabinet）每3秒驗證交易並產生區塊。驗證者每天根據質押或委託給他們的BNB數量選出，系統採用快速最終確定性與罰沒機制以維護安全與完整性。為管理長期經濟，該項目使用程式化的雙重燃燒策略，透過即時手續費銷毀與季度回購永久移除代幣。 該項目於2017年由Binance平台推出，最初將2億枚代幣供應量的50%分配給公眾，創始團隊獲得40%，天使投資人獲配10%。雖然最初是以太坊網路上的代幣，但最終遷移至與以太坊虛擬機（Ethereum Virtual Machine）完全相容的自有架構。如今，該代幣的用途包括支付網路gas、參與質押獎勵，以及實現去中心化治理，持有者可以對技術升級與經濟變更進行投票。
