Gene Hoffman 是 Chia.net 的執行長暨總裁。曾任 Vindicia、eMusic、PGP、PrivNet 的執行長暨共同創辦人。權利法案的捍衛者。北卡羅來納大學籃球與 Darkside Ultimate 校友。曾獲《舊金山商業時報》評選為「40 歲以下新興領袖獎」。Gene 在打造顛覆市場的公司方面擁有豐富經驗。在 Vindicia 之前，Gene 於 1998 年 1 月共同創辦 eMusic，並擔任總裁、執行長及董事。作為 eMusic 的負責人，Gene 曾登上《富比士》雜誌封面（2000 年 7 月 E-Gang 成員），並被《Upside》雜誌 2000 年 11 月號評選為科技界最具影響力的 100 位企業家之一。Gene 於 2001 年 6 月主導 eMusic 被 Vivendi/Universal 收購。在創辦 eMusic 之前，Gene 曾擔任 Pretty Good Privacy 的業務開發總監與互動行銷總監。Gene 在 PrivNet（一家網路隱私軟體公司）被 Pretty Good Privacy 收購後加入，他曾在 PrivNet 擔任共同創辦人、董事及執行副總裁。
