COPE es un proyecto que tiene dos fases. La Fase 1 de COPE implica buscar determinar y evaluar las debilidades y fallos de los traders de forma retrospectiva basándose en las predicciones de los traders sobre los mercados cripto y proporcionar informes sobre esto para el autoanálisis. Los mejores creadores de predicciones son evaluados según la precisión de sus predicciones, lo que junto con otros parámetros da como resultado una puntuación COPE que se les asigna. Los 100 mejores creadores de predicciones son incluidos en un índice COPE que los clasifica según su puntuación COPE. Una vez que se ha generado una lista consistente de los 100 mejores con la 'reforma' mensual que expulsa e introduce nuevos creadores de predicciones en el índice, se proporciona una narrativa para un nuevo tipo de producto de inversión basado en las mejores predicciones de traders medidas mediante un mecanismo confiable y preciso, lo que lleva a la fase 2.
