Blockaid detected a $7.5M exploit of the @jaredsmev MEV bot on Ethereum, and a separate incident involved a user being hacked after clicking a malicious link, warning against promoting a specific Asian crypto coin.
Attacker-controlled contracts tricked the automated MEV execution system into granting token approvals, which were then used to drain funds. In the other case, a compromised account warned followers not to trust future promotions.
Blockaid reported the exploit and identified the attack vector; the user's account was taken over but the full extent of losses is unclear.
