David Schwartz is a member of Ripple's board of directors, a former CTO of Ripple, one of the original architects of the XRP Ledger, and is often referred to as "JoelKatz" and is respected in the digital currency community. Previously, he was the CTO of WebMaster Incorporated, a software developer in Santa Clara and also developed encrypted cloud storage and enterprise messaging systems for organizations such as CNN, the NSA, and others.
