Founded by Syuilo in in Japan and adopting ActivityPub in , Misskey is an open-source and distributed platform for microblogging. Starting with Bulletin Boards as its main feature, it has since pivoted towards users posting short messages with the addition of timelines for chronological viewing.It currently features an abundance of features such as Drive or Reactions as well as a very high UI customizability. Notes are a central concept within Misskey, and refer to content that may include text, images, polls and more that has been posted to Misskey.
