Gene Hoffman 是 Chia.net 的首席执行官兼总裁。曾任 Vindicia、eMusic、PGP、PrivNet 的首席执行官兼联合创始人。权利法案的捍卫者。北卡罗来纳大学篮球与 Darkside Ultimate 校友。被《旧金山商业时报》评为“40 岁以下 40 位新兴领袖奖”，Gene 在打造颠覆市场的公司方面拥有深厚经验。在 Vindicia 之前，Gene 于 1998 年 1 月共同创立了 eMusic，并担任总裁、首席执行官和董事。作为 eMusic 的负责人，Gene 登上了《福布斯》杂志 2000 年 7 月 E-Gang 的封面，并被《Upside》杂志 2000 年 11 月精英 100 评为科技界最具影响力的 100 位企业家之一。Gene 于 2001 年 6 月领导了 eMusic 被 Vivendi/Universal 的收购。在创立 eMusic 之前，Gene 曾担任 Pretty Good Privacy 的业务发展总监和互动营销总监。Gene 在 PrivNet, Inc.（一家互联网隐私软件公司）被 Pretty Good Privacy 收购后加入该公司，他曾在 PrivNet 担任联合创始人、董事和执行副总裁。
